Blessings in Disguise ♥

There is a phrase which I always hold in my heart ' when one door close, another door opens'

When something bad happens, you have three choices. You can either let it define you, defeat you or strengthens you.
It is how we look at the situation and respond to it. How we persevere when we hit the stumbling blocks. So when you bump to one, smash through it, go around it, jump over it, burrow under it or do anything as long as you continue to believe that 'sometimes good things fall apart, so that better things can fall together.'
Things do happen for a reason. It hurts and made us cry. But it either makes us weaker or stronger.
You have a choice to choose how you want it to be because things which seems bad to us in the past or now, might turn out to be good in future.

He was the person who came into my life, walked along with me and made me a better person.

His sincerity touched my heart.
His support was the greatest gift I ever had and could ever asked for.
His patience towards me was beyond my expectation.
His kindness and gentleness makes me feel warmth and love.
His giving without expecting anything in return earns respect from me.
His passion and enthusiasm on the thing he does inspires me.
His positive and cheerful character makes him fun to be with.

He may not be as rich to buy me expensive gifts, but he would make sure I have my tummy filled, I ate a proper meal and if I don't, he will 'tapau' or cook 'maggie mee' for me which he tried not to allow me having it too often cause its unhealthy. He is a real big eater who needs a few plates to fill up his gigantic tummy, but yet he will replace another plate with just plain white breads. And all he does was to make sure I have sufficient finance to go abroad and finish my studies even I told him I have enough. He does pamper me with really good food though. We don't only eat roadside food :)

He may be busy, but he'll make sure he spends time with me whenever he could even after a long day in college or after a tiring workout and always stood by my side, giving me all the support and care he could for years.

He may have a bad day, but he will never complain about his problems (or maybe he did, once in a blue moon)

At times I may be hard to handle, my temper was bad but his patience overcome all of it and makes our differences complete.

We may be having a bad time, both frustrated but he will never fail to say those three words to me before we fall asleep.

He was always there for me during my bad times, supporting me all the way, comforting me and giving me the strength to go on and keep telling me that I can do it, which I did. But I took certain things for granted, I was never really there for him, to support him, to cherish what he has done for me or to simply tell him 'I have faith in you that can do it too'. At times, I don't even know he was having a bad time because I never bother to ask expecting he would tell. But there are certain people who keeps everything in their heart until someone ask.

But all things happened for a reason, a good one indeed. We created a story which was written not in a complete book, but at least it occupies a few pages. Even though it was not for a lifetime, but at least it was for a moment. And this moment creates a memory which stays for a lifetime.
"Some people come into our lives and quickly go, some stay and make footprints in our hearts."

It was a blessing to know him, I learned a lot from him on how to love, how to treat others, how to stay positive and how to feel grateful for all that we have and we don't.
"What seems to us as bitter trials are often blessings in disguise."
It makes me understand feelings. From my own experience, I could give my friends advices. The happiest thing was when my friend told me " it makes me feel better after talking to you and whenever I am hit with the issue again, I will always remember the things you told me"

I am glad to make my experience a platform for helping others to keep their relationship going.
I don't think I did much, but the least I could do is to understand wholeheartedly how they feel.

Life is at such. Things don't always stay the same as how it used to be. But when things doesn't go your way, remember,
"Just because everything is changing, doesn't mean its never been this way before"

Thank you for always being there for me and blessed birthday to you :)

Love
Jo

A 'lil' update

Haloha Bloggie (:

It has been so long since the last time we said "HarloO"
Just a lil update maybe before I get myself busy again.
Work is all I have to say that takes away all 'muah' time.
There are times that 'muah' have to work for almost 24 hours.
And it does not last for only one day, it can go by weeks.
All drained up. But work is work.
Somehow, I always ponder around when things happened around me.
Just heard a news of an old school mate that her brother suddenly collapsed and died from a heart attack at the age of 20.
It hurts to know that there might be words which have not been expressed, words we thought we could hold on for the next meet up session.
Sudden disappearance hurts the most.
And of course I will die too.
"Death is the greatest invention"
But I want to waste my time, on something that is worth wasting for.

 I just can't wait for 26-31.
Not going to tell what, just the most beautiful number you can find. HAHA
 Smiley

Just a random thoughts to keep my bloggie alive.
Found a pretty nice country song so,
E N J O Y Smiley

He was working through college on my grandpa's farm.
I was thirsting for knowledge and he had a car.
I was caught somewhere between a woman and a child.
When one restless summer we found love growin' wild.
On the banks of the river on a well beaten path.
It's funny how those memories they last.

Like strawberry wine and seventeen.
The hot July moon saw everything.
My first taste of love oh bittersweet.
Green on the vine.
Like strawberry wine.

I still remember when thirty was old.
And my biggest fear was September when he had to go.
A few cards and letters and one long distance call.
We drifted away like the leaves in the fall.
But year after year I come back to this place.
Just to remember the taste.

Of strawberry wine and seventeen.
The hot July moon saw everything.
My first taste of love oh bittersweet.
Green on the vine.
Like strawberry wine.

The fields have grown over now.
Years since they've seen the plow.
There's nothing time hasn't touched.
Is it really him or the loss of my innocence.
I've been missing so much.

Like strawberry wine and seventeen.
The hot July moon saw everything.
My first taste of love oh bittersweet.
Green on the vine.
Like strawberry wine.

Nah.... dont worry, muah still survivingSmiley

Though at times I do crazy stuffs, I am just being me,

The Long Lost Blog

I search and search and search, but my blog was no where to be found !
That is why you don't see any updates...make sense to you? heeeheeee
Oh well, I have been pretty busy with my job.
As a newlywed  fresh grads I mean (LOL), there are tonnes of new things for me to learn.
Working is a whole different thing from college life where you can simply skip classes when you could not drag urself out from the super-comfy-cozy-bed-with tweety-bird-design ! I NEVER DO THAT BEFORE, Trust me, people SmileySmiley
I'm not going to write long because my purpose is to make my long-lost-blog FOUND.
And yeah, it has been found F-I-N-A-L-L-Y Smiley

Before I leave this lovely place, I would like to share this with all my friends who just stepped into the working world like me.Smiley
We meet with people from different kinds.
Different culture, different background, different age groups, different sizes perhaps and etc....................
Some people may throw stones in your path, but it depends on what you make with them.
Whether a wall or a bridge?
Remember you are the architect of your life (I wish I am a REAL Architect *grin*).
It is the attitude that we need to develop.
For this instance, is to build a bridge and move on to a greater height Smiley
Remember my BANANA DANCE? They are  BIA (Back In Action laaah)

SmileySmileySmileySmileySmileySmiley

"The devil always wants us to concentrate on how far we have fallen, rather than how far we have risen.
Satan wants us to focus on our pasts instead of our futures and how far we still have to go, rather than how far we have come.
He wants us to think how many times we fail rather than how many times we succeed.
But God wants us to focus on our strengths and not our weaknesses, our victories and not our losses, our joys and not our problems.
Pay attention to what we focus on and magnify the works of God.
Do not believe the lies of the devil."

I hope by reading this, you have gain the STRENGTH to move on further.
Life is never easy, but with God by your side, we can make a difference  !!!!

The 4 Deadly D's

Pastor preached about the 4 deadly D's.
Wondering what's the 'D' he is referring to?
Not the grades that we get in studies.
It is the D's which could probably bring a huge changes or perhaps death into a person's life.
  1. Discouragement
  2. Disappointed
  3. Defeat
  4. Depression
Those are the 4 deadly D's in life that affect each and every one of us.
Don't ever tell me you haven't gone through anyone of them.
If you don't.....................probably you are not a human at all..... HAHAHAHA SmileySmileySmiley

I would like to share a little of his message today.
God's word never fails me but always picked me up every time I hit bottom.
Or whenever I go off the track that I'm suppose to be, He will always pulls me back on track again.
I probably would have not given up on certain things in life if its not by the word of God who ask me to let go.
Because by letting go, I gain something better. Imma-gonna-do-the-bananaaaaaaaaa-danceeeeeeee !!

SmileySmileySmileySmileySmiley

wee wang wang...wee wang wang....

Back to the message. No more banana dance ! Smiley
Along the way of hardship that God put us through, we learn to depend more on Him.
He changes our character and changes the way we think.

First comes disappointment, then comes discouragement. Sounds familiar?
First comes love, then comes marriage. But I am not talking bout that. HAHAHAHA
Most disappointment and discouragement comes from the defeat/failure that we encounter in life.
Failure in our studies, failure in our work, failure in relationship with family, boyfriend, girlfriend, friends and etc,etc,etc......there could be many type of failures. You name them yourself !

But always remember, everybody fails.
So if you fail today, doesn't mean you will fail in the future.
Vice versa, if you win today, doesn't mean you will not fail again.
This is life, nothing stays the same........or else it would be really boring, right??
There are always ups and downs in life..............even my smiley  Smiley
But it depends on our perspective of how we look at our failure.
  • Failure is not failing to reach your dreams. Failure is not having a dream.
  • Failure is not setting goals and missing it. Failure is not setting any goals at all.
  • Failure is not falling down. Failure is refusing to get up again.
Some people fail many times, but they get up and try again.
But some just don't try at all (for instant in studies)
Not putting any effort in, but finding excuses for their own failure, complaining how tough life treats them and hope for sympathy from others.
I can only say one thing. If you don't put any effort in, don't complain or hope for sympathy when you fail.

From our defeat, God made us learn.
Moulding us to be a better person.
"Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways." Prov 20:30
He intervenes when there is a need, so that through our experience we can be a blessing to others who failed like the way we do.
He is a God who never waste a bad experience  and a God who tells us to rejoice in times of troubles.
For He will always walk with us and guide us through difficulties we face in life.

Can I do the banana dance again??
Pluuuueeeesssssssssss *innocent face*
If you don't let, I also don't care !! hahahahhahha
I have a few types of banana summore !!!!!!!
Smiley

Smiley
See...my banana can do moon walk !
Man, I think they are really cool ...

I'll save the rest of my banana for the next post Smiley
So stay tuned Smiley

Goodnight, sweet dreams and slp tight

Jo

I'll be watching you.

Does my title scares the freak out of you ?!  Smiley
You better beeeeeeeee because, I'LL BE WATCHING YOU !!!!!
And I am serious...............

I have been Missing In Bloggie for the pass few months and I think its time for me to have some updates.
That is why I decided to log into my blog and crack up something to write Smiley

So recently, I went to see the optometrist because I have a-slightly-blurred-vision.
So guess what??!!
My degree is very low and I do not actually require a spec unless I really want to.
The problem with my eye is not the degree, is ASTIG !!!
When there is light, my vision becomes blur...so probably I'll be getting a spec sooooon.
But maybe not, because I have sensitive nose, which makes it very uncomfortable wearing specs.
Some ppl suggested contact lens, but I DON'T WANNA WEAR CONTACT LENS !!!!
I prefer SPECTACLES Smiley

I'll be watching you !!!

I went to dig for my old pictures of me wearing specs.
Some friends of mine actually thought that I wear specs in real life..hahahhaha..
Kena tipu !!! Smiley Smiley

For the sandals or flip flops freak like me, iPANEMA is having SALES right now !
Woohoooo Smiley

iPANEMA is made of super-soft melflex plastic which is a flexible plastic.
Thats what makes the shoe COMFY.
Not only that, its hypo-allergenic and 100% recyclable PVC.
That means their shoes are ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY.
I don't think I'll dare to go for other types of flip-flops after I bought one from Cotton On.
I bought something from Cotton On and was entitled to get their flip-flop for only SGD5.00, so I got it.
HAH ! cause its cheap.
The straps hurt my skin and it got red and painful.
